Service & Installation Tech

General Responsibilities:

The Service & Installation Tech will work independently and with others on the installation and service of residential and commercial electronics systems. The Tech might be primarily Service-oriented, troubleshooting multiple systems during his or her schedule, or Installation-oriented, working on complete new projects.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Install and service small, medium, and large residential and commercial electronics systems, including motorized shades, full automation, installed music and video products, and networks.
  • Train customers/Clients.
  • Advanced troubleshooting.
  • Advanced programming.

Job Requirements:

  • Installation and construction skillset.
  • Proficiency in hand tools, drills and small cutting tools.
  • Minimum of 3 years field experience in this or a closely related field, e.g. electrical.
  • Good communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work on rotating “on-call” service schedule and occasional after-hours work.
  • Proficient with desktop and mobile computing for reporting.
  • Drivers License and clean driving record and background check.
  • Experience working on site in homes and businesses while occupied by owners.
